This Saturday, Tasmanians will go to the polls to choose their representatives for the next four years.

Just when you thought things couldn't get any more absurd.

During Pride Month in June, advocacy group LGB Tasmania kicked off a ‘Let kids be kids’ campaign “calling for an end to harmful, irreversible ‘gender affirming’ treatment for children”, as well as an end to the ‘social transitioning’ of children in schools without their parents’ knowledge or consent.

A state Tribunal has denied Launceston woman Jessica Hoyle’s appeal (which was made in conjunction with LGB Alliance Australia) to obtain an exemption under Tasmania’s Anti-Discrimination Act in order to hold a lesbian women only event excluding trans-identifying males.
